What this policy covers

This Privacy Policy explains how Edvly collects, uses, stores, and shares information when you use edvly.com, create an account, or use the Edvly study space.

It covers the website, lessons, notes, quizzes, tutor conversations, billing flows, and related support services. We aim to collect only the information needed to provide and improve these services.

Information you give us

The information we receive depends on how you use Edvly. It can include:

  • Account and sign-in details, such as your name, email address, and sign-in provider.
  • Learning profile details, such as your broad age range (not an exact birthday), country or region, study level or course, language, learning goal, and referral source.
  • Learning content, such as prompts, typed notes, PDFs, generated lessons, notes, quizzes, answers, feedback, and tutor conversations.
  • Billing information handled by Stripe. Edvly receives the subscription and customer identifiers needed to provide paid access; payment details are processed by Stripe rather than entered into Edvly’s own payment forms.
  • Messages you send to support and information you choose to include in them.

How we use information

We use information for the following purposes:

  • Provide your account, study space, lessons, notes, quizzes, progress history, and requested tutor responses.
  • Adapt explanations, examples, language, and difficulty to the learning context you provide.
  • Send the request and relevant study material to an AI model provider when needed to generate a lesson, answer, quiz, or other practice.
  • Process subscriptions, protect accounts, prevent abuse, enforce usage limits, and troubleshoot failures.
  • Understand product usage, improve reliability, and measure campaign attribution through analytics when those tools are enabled.

AI and service providers

Edvly relies on specialized providers to operate the product. Depending on the feature and environment, relevant information may be processed by Supabase for authentication, database, and secure file storage; Stripe for payments; Google or another configured AI model provider for generated learning content; and analytics or attribution providers such as PostHog, Vercel Analytics, and campaign measurement tools.

These providers process information under their own privacy policies and service agreements. We do not ask you to put highly sensitive personal information, passwords, financial details, or confidential records into a study prompt.

Sharing and disclosures

Edvly does not sell your personal information. We share information only when it is needed to operate the service, protect users, complete a payment or requested integration, comply with a legal obligation, or support a merger, acquisition, or other business transfer.

We may also use aggregated or de-identified information to understand product performance. That information is not intended to identify you.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and learning information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, meet legal obligations, enforce agreements, and maintain security.

PDF uploads are treated as temporary inputs and are designed to be removed after text extraction. You can ask us to access, correct, or delete personal information by contacting the address below. We may keep a limited record where retention is required for security, legal, or accounting reasons.

Security

We use technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to the service, including authenticated access controls and protected service providers. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so choose a unique password and avoid sharing sensitive information in study prompts.

Your choices and rights

You can review and update parts of your profile in Settings, request account or data deletion, and ask questions about how your information is handled. Depending on where you live, applicable law may give you additional rights such as access, correction, portability, restriction, or objection.

To make a privacy request, contact us using the email below. We may need to verify the request belongs to the account holder before taking action.
